Mappiness: Using a free app for iPhones, George MacKerron from the London School of Economics mapped happiness levels associated with various activities and found that 4 out of 6 happiest activities are arts-related.
Researchers compared the effects of music and visual art training programs on preschool children and found that after 20 days of training, 90% of children in the music group exhibited enhanced verbal intelligence, and none in the visual arts group.
