The Artis Curriculum is a fusion of music, drama and movement

Our holistic approach to performing arts has been specially devised to stimulate imaginative thought and creativity within the primary school environment. Together with renowned educationalists and professional performing artists, Artis has developed an inspiring curriculum that fuses music, drama and movement.

Although created outside the National Curriculum, our work links to its learning objectives and outcomes. So Artis can be viewed as adding value and as an extension to children's day-to-day learning.

Our unique and growing body of work is made up of nine Core Features, which the Artis Curriculum development team initially identified as features common to all the performing arts:

Creativity and Performance
Body Awareness
Character Awareness
Awareness of Dynamics, Timbre
Language Awareness
Pitch Discrimination
Pulse Internalisation & Rhythmic Awareness
Spatial Awareness
 Quality of Movement
