The education of young hearts and minds needs to be undertaken without fear or prejudice. Children need to learn that true artistic expression comes from the deepest reaches of your soul when there can be no room for the barriers and divisions of the outside world. This is how we can give children a wider palette to paint all the colours of their different moods.

My six year old daughter has been working with Splash. It has been lovely to see quite a shy little girl coming home so enthusiastic and confident about what she has been doing at school. I really believe that the performing arts are vital to a young person’s growth. The children are so lucky that the school has become involved with Artis.

Sussuro is such a fantastic Artis Specialist. Her work with the children and how she has settled in to our school has been observed and praised by Ofsted. An inspector spoke to her at the end of her session last week and deemed it outstanding. It will be a pleasure to work with her again next year.

I like working with Plink because we have been acting out scenes from the book. It has helped me to understand the story more.

The Artis approach offers an opportunity for all children to do good work. You don’t need to be the pupil that’s at the top of the class to shine in our sessions. Creativity is open to all. I get a real kick out from seeing children do wonderful work and having their moment of recognition.

It is a wonderful means of encouraging the healthy development of creative language and encouraging confidence in an exciting adventurous world of imagination and discovery.

I have recommended Artis to many schools and I tell them you are worth every penny and even when money is tight we see Artis as a priority.
